The button-down collar was originally called a "polo collar" and was worn almost exclusively by polo players, of course - mainly in late 1800s England - although it regained popularity in the 1950s. Today, the button-down shirt can be found everywhere and on every man, which is why the details matter so much. The Morris Oxford button-down shirt has a medium spread collar and single button cuffs, slightly rounded, with two buttons on the horizontal. The fabric is a woven, sturdy (but very smooth) 100% Oxford cotton, with a small embroidered Morris lily on the chest. A wardrobe necessity - today, tomorrow and for many years to come.
